Adding a New WordPress site in cPanel

I have recently had a few clients ask about adding a new WordPress site to their hosting account.  Most Servously hosting plans allow for 2 or more domain names to be hosted.  Here are some simple directions on how to add a new site.

STEP 2: Click on Addon Domains – add the domain name.

STEP 3: Go back to the cPanel home screen & scroll down to Web Application/ Software and Services

web-app

STEP 4:  Scroll down to the Softaculous Apps Installer section (typically at the bottom of your cPanel) – that is where you will find WordPress and you can automatically install it on that domain name.

IMPORTANT: Be sure that you install WordPress in the correct location.  Correct domain name and in the root of that domain.  The installer will often default to creating a wp folder on your domain name.

STEP 5: Pointing the domain name to the new site.  Log in to your domain name registrar to point the domain name to our nameservers:

ns1.dfwhostingservices.com and ns2.dfwhostingservices.com
